Could talking help you?

Most of us experience a time in our life when things become difficult. Sometimes things feel like they are too much to cope with. Talking things through with a trained counsellor or psychotherapist might help you if:

* you are unhappy, anxious or depressed
* you need to talk over painful recent or past events
* you are having difficulty with close family members
* you are dissatisfied with the quality of your relationships
* you are feeling tense and insecure, puzzled about why you react as you do to events or to people
* you want to relate more easily to others
* you feel empty or isolated
* you feel aimless about life

How can counselling help?

Counsellors are impartial and supportive. They have an understanding of emotional development and the problems faced by individuals and their families. They can help identify the area and source of a concern, and can aid the individual to come to terms with and manage difficulties. They are trained to listen, help you understand your situation and find new ways to manage your difficulties.
